The First Disciples (John 1:35-51) - in the Synoptics, Jesus calls four fishers (Peter & Andrew, James & John) at the Sea of Galilee; in the Fourth Gospel, five disciples are introduced in a different order: first Andrew and an anonymous person, both disciples of John the Baptist; then Andrew's brother Simon (Peter); then Philip and Nathanael up in Galilee.
